So I wanted to upload pictures of what a show looks like. During training we spent long intense days training so that we could learn how to run them and run them well. The days were long, exhausting, and hot but definitely needed. After we were trained in the basics, we would continue to run through the various components of the sets. As we worked we would get timed. There were days when getting timed was the most frustrating thing in the world and others it was the most exciting, like when you surpass your goal, or what you thought you were capable of! The latter was definitely a favorite! So here are some pics...
This is a side shot of the screens we have to put up. They are actually three different frames, that we clamp together in the back. Altogether they are about 45ft wide. We also run 3 DVD players/projectors synced in order to run on the three screens simultaneously. It's pretty amazing! I was definitely impressed the first time I saw it all!
Here is a picture of a full setup in a gym.
We give ourselves an hour and a half to set up these shows. Sometimes we have students help us out with both setup and tear down. It has been great getting to interact with students and have fun while working!
